A Very Productive Day

This is the best day I’ve had in a long time productivity wise! Limiting time on the computer has really helped. I vowed that I would not open my browser until lunch and not again till after 5. I only have five things left on my list. All the hard stuff is out of the way. I need to do push-ups, throw the ball for the dogs, meditate and pack! That’s it! I’ve managed to run on the boardwalk, shower, do two loads of laundry, vacuum, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms, practice voice, send out resumes, file my weekly job search with VEC, get more boxes and that’s about it! I am going to make that rule from here on out. I find that once I start looking on the Internet, one thing leads to another. I’ll Google, looks at books, blogs, insidecarolina.com, you name it. I did allow myself to check Outlook but I did not respond to any listservs or read any newsletters. I responded to two girlfriends about lunch plans tomorrow.

It’s a wonderful day with the breeze blowing through the open windows. I have XM playing club dance music now. I have 10 pre-sets for mellow music and 10 pre-sets for more upbeat music. I listen to mellow before 10 and upbeat after 10. I change the channel each day depending on the day of the month. Since today is the 28th, I am listening to my 8th pre-set which is dance music. Is this anal? LOL!

Okay, it’s 2:30. The dogs tore up one of my Abraham-Hicks quote that was sitting on the printer. I have a few more things to do to finish my list. I had really hoped to ride my bike down to the oceanfront Mahi-Mah’s and get some 35 cent oysters and wash them down with a cool glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I would like to do that before I leave. Maybe I can either Thursday or Saturday. Until then, I’ll just dream about it.

Books I'll Write One Day

Good morning! It’s another wonderful day with a good night’s sleep. Bacon is frying at a slow simmer. Dogs have been fed and let outside. Today is chore day and I vow to myself that I will have tackled 50% of my list before noon. So I am trying something different today. I am limiting myself to the computer. Once in the morning to check email and send out resumes. 30 minutes at lunch time to finish office time. And then anytime after 5 as long as I have chores done. Do you think that will work? I actually have an email flybuddy where we email each other and commit to our daily routine! Isn’t that sort of like two alcoholics meeting in a bar to give each other support? LOL!

I do love writing and really need to explore this more in my journal. I’ve always had this fantasy that after I become a rock star I’ll write several books. Want to hear the titles of them?

Making Your Dreams Come True No Matter What Your Age
How to Get Anything You Want
Food Fit for Royalty: Cooking Gluten and Dairy Free
How to Make Your God Fit Into Your Life
How to Be Truly Happy
How to Have the Relationship of Your Dreams

You are probably laughing by now wondering okay if you are so great, how come you haven’t achieved any of these things? LOL. Well, I am laughing with you, believe me.

One of my girlfriends sent me an email yesterday and said a wise woman kept referring to one of her friends as cocky and able to get anything she wanted. She said that has to be me! Well, I guess I can occasionally be cocky. I told her she fit into that mode as well. Was that a compliment? Hmmmm….

Are you laughing at the relationship one?

I hope the bacon is not burning. Today Show is coming on. Seems like Swine Flu is spreading.

Caffeine Free!

I slept great last night - caffeine free! Has caffeine been the culprit? I don't know. I could have just been bone tired, but from all the stuff I am reading, it sounds like I need to rid of caffeine too!

Gluten and dairy were the two biggies. I had to get that down before I pinpointed everything else. And it is only now that I am feeling good. My BF was using butter on the weekends. I never had a complete week of feeling good until he eliminated butter three weeks ago. Now it's been three weeks so it's much easier for me to pinpoint other toxins!

Once I eliminate caffeine, I can focus on anything else that might be giving me trouble.

I am drinking decaf tea with lemon and a little honey. I hope that honey doesn't crash me. According to Biobalance I really have to watch my sugar and have it with protein so it doesn't crash my system, but please Universe give me just this little treat in the morning!

Rantings of a Newbie

I want to thank all of you for your advice and thoughts as I continue along this journey of going gluten and dairy free. It’s been a learning experience. I will not let myself get bummed about it, because I know the benefits outweigh the losses.

There must have been some gluten or dairy in the Pad Thai yesterday. I felt groggy waking up and went back to bed for an hour. It seems on gluten days my motivation goes down as well. Yesterday I was in the best mood but today I am not really motivated to tackle my “to do” list. Do you find this happens to you as well?

I took some Gluten-Ease” yesterday and plan to take another at lunch. When I gave up everything on the elimination diet trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I also gave up sodas. I never really drank a lot of them anyway. I would go years without drinking one except for the occasional fast food binge. But as I was getting groggier and groggier I would reach for one to cut the brain fog. It does help some. Maybe it is the acid in the soda. I am tempted to run to 7-11 and buy one.

I am not sure where the gluten or dairy was in my meal yesterday. It could have been in the spring roll though he told me it was a rice wrapper. It could have been that the shrimp was cooked in butter. Maybe I should start carrying around those gluten and dairy free cards. Do any of you have those?
